"农村地区成功转型模式及驱动因素"国际研讨会

为深入理解农村转型的性质、驱动因素及后续影响，关注农村转型过程中制度、政策和投资（IPIs）的关键性作用，为全世界发展中国家农村转型提供可持续性、包容性的理论方法和政策措施，北京大学中国农业政策研究中心定于2023年12月6日在北京大学召开"农村地区成功转型模式及驱动因素"国际研讨会。

一、会议背景介绍

农村转型是一个全面的社会变革过程，对全球经济增长和社会发展至关重要。目前，发展中国家仍有一半或更多的人口生活在农村地区，而农村地区贫困人口的比例远高于城市地区。为了应对这一严峻挑战，实现联合国可持续发展目标，必须更深入、更快速地推进农村经济转型。然而，对亚洲发展中国家农村转型进程的研究远远不够，对不同国家和地区经验差异的根源也不清楚。

会议将讨论亚洲发展中国家的农村转型和政策。通过努力促成国际组织领导人、专家和政策制定者之间的对话与合作，促进未来的国际网络、合作和参与者伙伴关系的形成，并为正在进行农村转型的国家的政策制定者提供更可靠的科学依据。

1.亚太地区的农村转型；

2.经济结构转型和农村经济转型的互动机制及其主要决定因素（IPIs）；

3.农村转型中的可持续性、包容性和政策实践。

（本次会议不收取会议费，食宿及交通费用需自理）

The international conference “Understanding the Drivers of Successful and Inclusive Rural Regional Transformation”

To gain a deep understanding of the nature, drivers, and subsequent impacts of rural transformation, with a specific focus on the critical roles played by institutions, policies, and investments (IPIs) in this process, and to provide sustainable and inclusive theoretical approaches and policy measures for rural transformation in developing countries around the world, the China Center for Agricultural Policy, Peking University (CCAP) is organizing the international conference “Understanding the Drivers of Successful and Inclusive Rural Regional Transformation” on December 6, 2023 in Peking University .

Conference Background

Rural transformation is a comprehensive societal change process essential to global economic growth and social development. Currently, in developing countries, more than half of the population resides in rural areas, which have a significantly higher proportion of people living in poverty compared to urban areas. To address this pressing challenge and achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals, a deeper and faster transformation of the rural economy is imperative. However, the process of rural transformation in Asian developing countries has received insufficient attention, and the factors contributing to the varying experiences across countries and regions remain unclear. 

The conference will focus on discussions related to rural transformation and policies in Asian developing countries. Through facilitating dialogue and collaboration among international organization leaders, experts, and policymakers, the conference aims to foster international networking and collaboration. It also seeks to establish lasting partnerships among participants for future endeavors, providing a more robust scientific foundation for policymakers in countries undergoing rural transformation.
