Dr. Chengfang Liu is a Boya Chair Professor at the School of Advanced Agricultural Sciences (SAAS), and a Senior Research Fellow at the China Center for Agricultural Policy (CCAP) in Peking University. She holds a Ph.D in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Davis. Her research interests include Agricultural Economics, Development Economics and Applied Microeconometrics, with focus on human capital and rural transformation. She has published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed academic journals, including the papers published in Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Labor Economics, Economics of Education Review, Australian Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics as well as American Journal of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene. In 2019, she won The China National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scientists (Guojia Jieqing), one of the highest academic honors that can be bestowed on a young scholar in China. She was elected as the Chair-Elect of the China Section of Agricultural & Applied Economics Association (AAEA) in 2019.
