Prof. Huang Jikun was invited to give a keynote speech at the "2023 Academic Forum of Beijing Rural Revitalization Research Base"

On December 17, the "2023 Academic Forum of Beijing Rural Revitalization Research Base" was held in Beijing, hosted by Beijing Agricultural College and organized by Beijing Rural Revitalization Research Base and School of Economics and Management of Beijing Agricultural College. With the theme of "Rural Revitalization and Modernization of Agriculture and Rural Areas in the Capital", the forum held in-depth academic discussions on the core key issues of rural revitalization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas. The forum adopted a combination of offline participation and online live broadcast mode, with a total of more than 70 universities and research institutes, such as the State Forestry and Grassland Bureau, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, China Agricultural University, Beijing Forestry University, China University of Mining and Technology, Beijing University of Technology, Northwest University of Agriculture, Forestry and Technology, etc., taking part in the forum. The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Zhang Deqiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Beijing Agricultural College.

Prof. Huang Jikun, Director of New Rural Development Institute,Peking University was invited to give a keynote speech on the topic of "Digital Technology for China's Agri-Food Value Chain: Opportunities, Challenges and Development Ideas". Prof. Huang Jikun believes that digital technology has a potentially important role in the development of agri-food supply chain. More efforts should be made in the supply chain to meet the needs of the main bodies, inclusive development, capacity building, technological innovation, and the establishment of systems, technologies, policies and investment and other innovation systems that are compatible with the enhancement of the agri-food value chain with the help of digital.
