Cheers to thirty years! On behalf of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), I wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate you on reaching this milestone.

为CCAP三十载春华秋实喝彩！我谨代表国际食物政策研究所（IFPRI），衷心祝贺CCAP创立三十周年，这是一项重要的里程碑。

IFPRI’s partnership with CCAP dates to its beginning. Starting in the 1980s, IFPRI hosted several visiting researchers from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) to our Washington, D.C. headquarters. Dr. Jikun Huang spent a year at IFPRI as one of these researchers. He returned to China in 1995 with a commitment to create a home-based institution similarly devoted to research on agricultural economics and development. He established CCAP, using IFPRI as a model, that same year.

IFPRI 与 CCAP 的合作历史悠久。早在 20 世纪 80 年代，就有来自中国农业科学院（CAAS）的多批访问学者到访IFPIRI华盛顿总部。黄季焜教授彼时以访问学者身份在 IFPRI总部研修一年。1995 年，黄季焜教授回到中国，矢志建设一所立足本土、对标IFPRI的政策研究机构，同年CCAP应运而生。

IFPRI is pleased to have been a trusted collaborator during these past decades. From earlier work on strengthening rural-urban linkages or informing agricultural extension systems to recent studies on expanding ICTs for agriculture and improving cotton pest management, we are honored to support CCAP in delivering science-based advice that influences policymaking for sustainable development in rural China and beyond.

过去几十年里，IFPRI 很荣幸成为CCAP值得信赖的合作伙伴。从早期开展城乡融合发展、农业推广体系研究，再到近年来推动农业信息化发展、攻克棉花病虫害治理难题。我们始终携手前行，共同为中国乃至全球农业农村可持续发展提供科学的政策建议。

Throughout the years, CCAP has also made unique contributions that have enabled IFPRI to advance its work tackling global food systems challenges. CCAP has been a key feature of special events such as co-hosted policy seminars, our IFPRI at 40 celebration, and multiple Global Food Policy Report launches in Beijing. As recently as July, the Chinese Agricultural Policy Simulation Model (CAPSiM) developed by CCAP aided in forecasting China’s future food security in the new IFPRI book What Do We Know About the Future of Food Systems?

多年来，CCAP 在支持 IFPRI 应对全球粮食体系挑战方面做出了重要贡献。CCAP 积极参与并推动了一系列关键活动，包括联合举办政策研讨会，共同庆祝 IFPRI 成立 40 周年活动，以及多次在北京举办的《全球粮食政策报告》发布会。今年七月，由CCAP 开发的中国农业政策模拟模型（CAPSiM）还为 IFPRI 新书《我们对粮食体系的未来了解多少？》提供了有关中国未来粮食安全的预测支持。

My colleagues in the IFPRI Beijing office reflect fondly on close partnership with CCAP on research projects related to climate change in Chinese agriculture, preschool meal programs, and low-carbon Chinese food system transformation. CCAP also recently implemented four key National Natural Science Foundation of China-CGIAR regional cooperation projects in collaboration with IFPRI researchers.

IFPRI 北京办事处的同事们对与 CCAP的紧密合作记忆深刻，倍感珍惜。双方在多个领域取得重要成果，包括中国农业应对气候变化、学前营养餐计划和粮食系统低碳转型等。近期，CCAP还与 IFPRI 研究人员开展合作交流，共同实施了四项NSFC-CGIAR 区域合作重点项目。

The impact of CCAP goes far beyond its collaborations with IFPRI. We have watched it grow into a team of over 60 high-powered academics who publish top-quality research, train outstanding young economists, and maintain close relationships with domestic and international stakeholders. The Institute is confident that CCAP will continue to be a renowned hub for research and education in the field of agricultural economics at home and abroad.

CCAP 的影响力早已超越与 IFPRI 的合作范畴。这些年来，我们见证了CCAP发展壮大为一支拥有六十余位（包括教师及在读博士生）高水平学者的研究团队。他们在国际顶级期刊上发表高质量研究，培养了大批优秀的青年经济学家，并与国内外各界保持紧密联系。我们坚信，CCAP将继续成长为国内外农业经济领域享有盛誉的教育研究中心。

I would like to end with a word of personal congratulations and appreciation. I have worked together with CCAP colleagues for many years, even decades, and have benefited tremendously from our collaborations while watching the institute prosper and grow both in size and importance. While I cannot join the 30th Anniversary Celebration taking place this October, I am pleased to have visited Peking University to deliver a lecture as part of CCAP’s anniversary activities in June. Looking forward, I am also eager to continue representing IFPRI in my post on CCAP’s Academic Committee.

最后，请允许以个人名义，向CCAP表达诚挚的感激与祝福。多年来，我有幸与 CCAP 同仁携手合作，受益匪浅，也亲眼见证了CCAP在规模和影响力上的稳步壮大。虽然遗憾无法出席今年十月的三十周年庆典，但很高兴今年六月在北京大学以讲座形式参与了周年系列活动。展望未来，我将代表IFPRI、继续以学术顾问委员会成员的身份，支持并推动CCAP的不断发展。
